Limecrime Unicorn Hair 💕

So I love having my hair every color you can imagine, the only downside is how damaging it can be. So damaging that 6 months ago I literally chopped off half of my hair. Everyone’s hair is different, my hair did not like the years of highlights and bleach. Quarantine experiments did not help. Got off track, okay back to unicorn hairy! My favorite part about the unicorn hair is how conditioning they actually are! They also smell like candy, that is a GIANT plus. Since they are vegan they don’t itch. I tend to leave em on for longer than recommended to get some extra long lasting pigmented color. I also like to mix and max the colors for a custom shade. They are semi permanent and last for about 4-6 weeks. Starting off bright and fading into pretty pastel colors. I have tried pink, purple, and blue. I have also done mixes of those colors. I did have my hair prelightened by a professional and added the colors myself. They make my hair feel so soft after! I really love these and would recommend 10/10.

Limecrime Unicorn Hair 🦄 – these are the ones I have tried they also have tints, shampoo and conditioner, and dilution mix. Let me know if you have tried any of the limecrime hair products !

My skincare routine

Skincare 101 : My skin has been glowing lately. So I’m going to share my routine it’s nothing too elaborate. The two most important things: drink water, and always wash your face if you wear makeup!

Step 1: Face wash

I alternate between face washes. I exfoliate once or twice a week. I use the oil cleanser when I wear makeup. I use the glycolic wash in between.

Step 2 : Face mask

I like to use a face mask at least once a week, I find it so relaxing if I could I would use one everyday. I choose my mask depending on how my skin is feeling, either dry or oily. I love sheet masks or clay masks.

Step 3 : Face serum

I usually use one serum for the morning and one for before I go to bed. I use the starpotion in the mornings, it has a nutty smell to it. I use the vitamin C at night.

Step 4 : Toner

I usually spritz my face when it’s feeling run down. I also use it on the go as a face cleanser. Super refreshing after a workout!

Coconut Oil: The Miracle Oil

We all have at least heard of coconut oil, it can be used for cooking, for skin and even for hair. Coconut oil is made of copra or dried coconut flesh. It has many benefits for the body both inside and out. This might be because it is made up of healthy fats including caprylic acid, lauric acid, and capric acid. Extra Virgin unrefined organic coconut oil has the most benefits.

These benefits include:

  • antimicrobial
  • antifungal
  • has antioxidants that help smooth the skin
  • helps with burns, eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis
  • great all natural conditioner, can also help with dandruff
  • reduces inflammation
  • great moisturizer and face cleanser
  • improves digestion by helping absorb vitamins, calcium, and magnesium
  • helps with blood pressure by increasing HDL
  • helps with UTIs by acting as a natural antibiotic and clearing bacteria
  • helps with bruises and speeds up healing process of damaged tissues
  • forms a protective layers over the infected body part from dust, bacteria, fungi, air
  • has a natural SPF of 4
  • filled with vitamin E, vitamin K, and other minerals like iron

In general it is not only filled with fatty acids, 90% saturated fats, but also fatty alcohols. Provides essentials proteins and highly effective in aiding in protein loss. This is one reason why it helps with hair loss and hair re-growth. Excellent massage oil. Effective moisturizer for all skin types, from oily to dry skin.

Here are some of my favorite ways to use coconut oil:

  • lice and dandruff treatment- massage into scalp and massage into the ends
  • body oil- apply onto wet skin after a shower and pat dry
  • cuticle oil- apply at the base of the nails, will also help your manicure last longer
  • lip balm- natural remedy for chapped lips
  • makeup brush cleaner- use 2 parts antibacterial soap 1 part coconut oil to clean
  • makeup remover- easy to remove makeup, especially waterproof makeup
  • face moisturizer- can be used as a primer under foundation for that smooth skin
  • body moisturizer- leaves skin glow-y not lotion-y
  • under eye cream- dab on under eye bags and fine lines

These are just MY favorite ways to use coconut oil. The possibilities are endless. This oil has so many benefits with very little side effects. The main side effect is allergy may occur if you are allergic to coconuts. Always remember when using on skin to do a patch test before using all over.

6 months !

Wow I am almost in tears as I type this. So much has changed in these past six months. I am so happy to say I am now six months seizure free. To some it means nothing, but those who suffer from epilepsy they know how big of a milestone this may be. Last Halloween I remember munching out on candy and watching every 80’s horror film you could imagine, that’s about it.  The next morning I had an epileptic episode. I don’t remember anything but waking up in a hospital with my family all around me.

Fast forward to six months later! So much has changed in the past six months. I have had some of my worst days and some of my best days.  I am taking my medication regularly, trying holistic remedies, sleeping every night, drinking more water, and exercising regularly. Cutting out all the toxic people out of my life has helped a lot too. Every little bit helps to help maintain a healthy life. I am not only healthier but happier. Being healthy has made me happier, and being happy has made me healthier. Not going to lie, taking my medication every night sucks, but trying out all different natural or holistic remedies has not only been fun but I have learned a lot. remember everyone’s body is different and you should always consult with your doctor (some you might need a prescription).

Favorite natural treatments:

  • yoga
  • CBD
  • massages
  • baths
  • medical marijuana
  • tea
  • vegan

Some I hated:

  • acupuncture
  •  chiropractor

Hey that is just some of my experiences. I am always trying new things and I swear just sitting by the beach for a day and just listening to the waves crash cures any anxiety I have building. Even taking a weekly  “mental health day” and drawing a long bath and slapping on a face mask can really make a difference. I couldn’t have made it without my friends and family’s endless support. Trying to live a normal life is hard when you don’t drive but watch out because I’m hitting the roads! Every day is a struggle but I am truly happy to hit this milestone. This is only one small step, but every step is progress!

peach and lily

Everyone knows Korean skin care is years ahead of it’s time. I have always wanted to venture out of my comfort zone and keeping up with my new years resolution of trying new things and brands i decided to try out peach and lily. This isn’t just one brand, it’s a bunch of different Korean skin care products all carefully selected for you. The site was started by a harvard student, but the products are from Japan and Korea. Korean’s lead the beauty industry. With all the products out there this site makes it easy to chose. To be honest I mainly ordered because I saw someone online ordering the bat face mask and I needed to have it.

These sheet mask have real honey, blueberry, and green tea it’s amazing. I used the honey one and I felt like Winnie the Pooh it was so bad. In my opinion you can never go wrong with a sheet mask!

I have not tried these yet, they were free with my first order. Yay! I’m excited to try them out. The green one is a soothing sheet mask. The coral one is a plumping sheet mask.

20180426_205532_mh1524791506095

So at first I thought this was three different lip masks but it’s one lip mask that has three steps. The Monkey is your guide. Plump is the end goal i’m guessing?

The bottle of sauce is hydrating nourishing essence or maple water. This is perfect after washing your face, not too heavy. The green tube is a exfoliating face mask. It is not only made up of maple but also apple. It goes and smooth then scrubs off all your dead skin.

The reason for this order. Aint he the cutest lil bat in the entire world. I had only seen the silicone under eye masks before this one. I am beyond smitten with this one, as far as helping with my eyes I will get back to you on that one.

These products some are a bit odd. I am always looking to try Asian beauty and don’t know where to start, but peach and lily has a little bit of everything for everyone. I will be ordering some more sheet masks very soon. The shipping was so fast, everything got here in two days. I was overall happy with my purchace.

Ugh As If!

So I’m spoiled by my dad. Hence this amazing collaboration came to be. Can you take a guess where my inspiration cane from? Total 90s, clueless, and anime all the way. I just wanted to have a fun and beautiful photoshoot with my dad. I think we were successful but you be the judge ! All photo credit to my dad ! Not only did we take some pictures we enjoyed the food and eveything the youth fair has to offer. I will never complain spending some time and throwing together something with my dad, what can I say I’m a daddy’s girl. I had a blast in general but I definitely enjoyed the food! What is your favorite fair food?

lush haul

Lush hauls, a two for one! my package came around the same time I went to my local lush store. So extra lush for me! I’m never going to complain about too much lush, this just means both the lush easter and mothers day collection will be bundled up.

Baa Bar- a returning favorite, however I remember last year it having violet. This year it  shares the scent of twilight. Not complaining I mean look at that face. This cutie will set you off to dream land. Twilight is what helps me sleep when nothing else can so I grabbed like 10 of these because they have now become a staple in my bath routine!

Purple drain- spicy minty goodness. I have been favoriting minty baths lately so this one caught my attention! Purple, spicy, minty, and hydrating, what is there not to love? Even the name is perfect.

Citrus are doing for themselves- soft citrus with out being over powering.  Man has lush been coming out with the longest product names, or is it just me? Very surprising how the lemon comes through as light and refreshing. A nice bright bubbleroon for a morning bath.

Madam President- way too strong of a citrus scent. Not a bad smell, just too strong for me, a very pretty bath bomb. I will be gifting this one as it is just not for me.

Incredible Mom- a soft floral citrus. I like this one because if the cape. Duh! All moms are super heroes. This bath bomb is not only pretty it also smells great, so that make it’s a true hero.

Golden egg- candy scented glitter covered goodness. This is a bath bomb melt covered in glitter. Nothing is better than glitter, especially when it’s plastic free. You had me at glitter, but this bad boy smells like candy. The cocoa butter and citrus gives it the caramel candy scent. A special treat.

Cream egg- spotted minty creamy delight. The bright colors are a delight. They really transform into a spring wonderland. the minty scent is so soothing. Can you tell I have a migraine while sniffing this? I regret only getting one.

April Showers- this musky violet bath bomb is too cute with cocoa butter pink and purple inserts it’s almost worth the rain. The violet really stands out to me in this one. I love violets so I may be a little impartial. This cutie is simple but not to be forgotten.

Poisson D’avril- spicy and sweet, but a fish? Yes a beautiful red and gold fish. Two contrasting colors, just as these are two contrasting scents. Spicy pepper and neroli, so different, yet come together so perfectly to form this fish. This quickly and strangely became my favorite from the range.

Museum of Ice Cream Miami

Pastels, pink palm trees, sprinkles, swings, and of course ice cream! I know what you are thinking a sprinkle pool ?! Yes! a Sprinkle pool! Four floors of ice cream heaven, they have a different flavor on each floor. Every floor not only beautiful but fun to play in! Brings out the inner child and ice cream lover in any one!

Running around eating ice cream, throwing sprinkles I felt like a princess with pink every where! I honestly was in a pastel wonderland. There were different flavors to try on each floor soft serve, melted vanilla, mochi (Japanese ice cream), and chocolate with whipped cream. My favorite was the mochi, I will be getting more soon! Although every floor is beautiful, the best part is you guessed the sprinkle pool. Time is limited and the sprinkles aren’t biodegradable, but it’s a sprinkle pool! Everything was beautiful and eye catching. I was memorized from the moment I walked in to the moment I stepped out the gift shop. It was about much more than ice cream, there were facts all over the walls, there was kinetic sand you can play with, even a ping pong ball table. Theres much more than meets the eye. The ice cream doesn’t taste bad either.

This was a sensory overload. I loved every minute of it. Everyone should experience an ice cream wonderland. I heard they are working on making the sprinkles biodegradable, that shows they are listening to our concerns! Every floor revealed something new and even prettier, you almost didn’t know what to expect! So much creativity went into every detail and who would have thought a museum of ice cream could be so beautiful and tasty at the same time.
