Limecrime Unicorn Hair 💕

So I love having my hair every color you can imagine, the only downside is how damaging it can be. So damaging that 6 months ago I literally chopped off half of my hair. Everyone’s hair is different, my hair did not like the years of highlights and bleach. Quarantine experiments did not help. Got off track, okay back to unicorn hairy! My favorite part about the unicorn hair is how conditioning they actually are! They also smell like candy, that is a GIANT plus. Since they are vegan they don’t itch. I tend to leave em on for longer than recommended to get some extra long lasting pigmented color. I also like to mix and max the colors for a custom shade. They are semi permanent and last for about 4-6 weeks. Starting off bright and fading into pretty pastel colors. I have tried pink, purple, and blue. I have also done mixes of those colors. I did have my hair prelightened by a professional and added the colors myself. They make my hair feel so soft after! I really love these and would recommend 10/10.

Limecrime Unicorn Hair 🦄 – these are the ones I have tried they also have tints, shampoo and conditioner, and dilution mix. Let me know if you have tried any of the limecrime hair products !

soak and unwind

Whipped soap? I was so intrigued I had to order it. Boy am I glad I did. So soft on the skin with gentle exfoliating, The whipped salt scrub is exfoliating with a slight lather. i was excited to try a different brand and switch things up. I also ordered an aloe lotion, light and the scent lasts for hours without being too heavy or over bearing. The best part ? The order came wtih a little spoon to scoop out the soap.

Kimono Flower – Jasmine petals, mandarin, bergamot, raspberry, ylang ylang, gardenia and pink orchid

This lotion was a light citrus and jasmine blend. Glides on smooth and doesn’t feel too heavy. Perfect for after the shower. Reminds me of the perfect spring afternoon.

Back To Black – Fresh earth aka dirt blended with garden mint, basil, lemon blossom and sage

I personally love to exfoliate so I was excited to add a whipped scrub to my collection. The black sea salt is gentle on the skin and creates a slight lather. There is a slight minty scent, I picked up more of the sage.

img_9160.jpg

Blue Skies – Citrus, anise, jasmine, lavandin, warm musk and cedarwood

This whipped soap had some jojoba beads and an embed in it. It was really cute. I was expecting it to smell more like the lush version of blue skies fluffy clouds’ but this is not bad. The cedarwood and citrus blend together nicely.

Bubble Gum Machine – Sweet and juicy bubble gum

The best for last! Look at those layers, blue, pink and yellow! Smells just like bubble gum. Good enough to eat. This was definitely my favorite of the bunch. I have been leaning towards sweeter scents lately, not sure why. The colors are beautiful too. This one is packed full of moisture and screams happiness!

I was pleased with my haul of soak and unwind   some of the scents were more musky than I hoped but overall I do enjoy whipped soap. I am glad to have tried out this vendor. Quick shipping and good products.. I love how soft my skin feels. I also love using them as an alternative to shaving cream. They really are versatile and smell pretty amazing.

Lush Delight Bath Oil

Lush introduced the US to their skin loving bath oils. Now these had been available through the Lush kitchen and Lush UK. For those of us over the pond this gives us more chances to see them up close before purchasing or risking them melting in shipping! I had ordered a bunch of bath oils and had only tried two and did not like them very much. So I am giving them another try!

I decided to give delight bath oil a try before giving up on lush’s bath oils all together. I mean with all the skin loving butters packed into these little guys I couldn’t resist. Delight is lemon scented. A sparkly, spicy little guy. I paired him with snow fairy, for a very sparkly, sweet and spicy, citrusy bath. I made sure the water was really hot, to ensure it would melt the bath oil, then dropped it in. At first it sank to the bottom and all the glitter fell off and also sank to the bottom. It took a while to disolve, there were beads of oil slowly forming on the top of the water but any one that knows me knows how impatient I am. So I grabbed the ball of cocoa butter and rubbed it all over, paying special attention to the areas the needed some extra TLC.  This left my skin so smooth, I didn’t need any oil or lotion after. Perfect for winter months or dry patches.

I am glad I gave these bath oils another chance. I am realizing that everything I hate with Lush at second sniff or second try I actually do love. Snow fairy hated it, now I am actually using it a lot. These bath oils, I have so 2 buckets filled with every bath oil that lush has to offer and I have had them sitting there because I didn’t think they were useful. Boy was I wrong. I am excited to start using them more. Stay tuned for more blog post about these lovely bath oils.

FYI two buckets of fun filled with bath oils… when I was young buckets of fun meant buckets of vodka now that fun mean buckets of bath oils oh man how times have changed !

good things come in big packages

The giant golden wonder oh man oh man, where do I begin? The colors, the smell, the fizz, the size alone will take your breath away. This is one massive way to start your Christmas season! It was bigger than my head and weighed more than my dog. It quickly became my new favorite Christmas product. It actually looks like a gift. Only downside, I could not get a pretty picture of this guy because it came damaged in the mail. This however did not take away from my bath.

It’s size alone can leave you staring at it for days, it fizzes for minutes literally. Mine fizzed for about ten minutes. What starts off yellow exterior bursts with colors leaving you with blue and gold water. The scent is not too strong for its giant size, an amazing blend of citrus. The lemon really stuck out to me so I blended it with my lemon melt shower gel from the kitchen. I was blown away by everything about this bath bomb! It’s a great way to help even the biggest grich get into the spirit. I say treat yo self! I will definitely be ordering another one before Christmas!

Metamorphosis, Lord of Misrule, and Damaged Lush Reviews

purple bath

So after a long  week of partying the best thing to do for your body is load up with water and relax. My favorite way to relax is with a good bath and pamper myself. After all the pool parties and the humid weather of Miami spring break took a toll on me. I could definitely use some time to spoil myself. This week I choose a hair treatment and some muscle soothing bath products all from Lush.

Everyone has their own way of taking care of themselves, some prefer to go to the nail salon others like me can sit in a bath tub for hours. Different products can have different effects on your mood. For examples some bath bombs can help with sleep, while some like the one I chose for this bath can help sooth muscles. I needed some relief after all that dancing! As for my hair treatment I chose one from lush as well, after the pools and beach and usual bad shit I put it through I decided it was time to show it some love and chose the one that sounded most appropriate.

This quite odd looking bath bomb is metamorphosis, don’t let it’s grey exterior fool you. The inside is packed full of colors. Once the silver exterior melts away is when the colors really start to pop. It’s round but has a texture on it. The smell is just divine quite spicy, and it lingers for hours. Spicy but in the most subtle way possible. I would recommend this for when you are feeling sore or a bit under the weather. This is also good if you just aren’t into the fruity scents.

rating 5/5

This is a Lush classic scent Lord of Misrule. I love it, spicy, earthy and sweet. This is a green shower cream that will leave your skin soft and feeling moisturized. It is not as spicy as metamorphosis but they are in the same scent family. This can be used as a unisex shower cream. I recommend that everyone own a bottle of LOM at home.

So after spring break and dying my hair I thought it could use some TLC. I went ahead and ordered the Damaged hair treatment. Let me start by saying I have a lot of long thick hair so I thought this little lollipop looking thing was not going to melt out to cover my hair. Boy was I wrong. There was enough to last me two treatments! The only problem is they must be used fresh. I just melted it down per the instructions on the paper and stirred with the wood thing that’s actually a spoon (COOLEST PART) and globbed it on my hair. The reason I didn’t give it a higher review is due to the fact of the smell, it was gross. I had to add my own lavender essential oil to be able to bear it. After I washed it with normal shampoo it left my hair AMAZING. It did take a while to wash it out.  But after the abuse I put my hair through it needed some lovin.

After me spoiling myself here is a picture of the ultimate spoil a pink drink from Starbucks. No filter so you can see the results of the Damaged hair treatment. More reviews and what not coming at you keep up on twitter and instagram! @stardustfunk

DIY Last Minute Christmas Gifts

So if you’re like me you are still scrambling to get last-minute gifts for some of those

special some ones on your list. If you’re really like me you want something on a budget and that comes from the heart not from the mall. I got something easy and won’t break your bank. One project is for the females in your life, the other is for the bearded males in your life. Don’t think you can hack these projects? Don’t fret you got this, I have made sure that any one can handle these easy instructions and these ingredients. The first recipe makes a lot so you will have quite a few to give out. The second recipe is so yummy I want to steal it from my boyfriend and use it on my hair.

So first what you need. I made two stops for everything I needed. Fist stop Walmart, second stop Hobby Lobby. I tried to get everything I needed at Walmart and everything I couldn’t find I got at Hobby Lobby. It all depends on what you are willing to spend and the look you are going for. Hobby Lobby has really pretty bottles and the essential oils. Walmart has the epsom salt and mini mason jars at really great prices. I grabbed what I needed from both stores and hurried home to make the gifts.

EASY BATH SALTS

What you need:

1: 2 lbs Epsom Salt (8 lb bag available at walmart)

2: 2 Oz Lavender Essential Oil

3: 2 Oz Rosemary Essential Oil

4: 3 OZ Lavender Buds

5: Glass Bottles

Directions:

1: Add salt in large bowl.

2: Add essential oils and lavender buds and mix together.

3: Once mixed together bottle into glass bottles or 4 oz mini mason jars.

EASY BEARD OIL

What you need:

1: 6 Oz Sweet Almond Oil

2: 2 Oz Jojoba Oil

3: 2 Ml Buckthorn Extract

4: 0.5 Ml Essential Oil

(you can use lavender or cedar wood or a combo of both!)

5: Glass Bottles

Directions:

1: In a container combine oils (almond and jojoba)

2: Add extract and essential oil

3: Pour into glass bottles

Pretty Simple huh? I told you so! These are some easy DIY ideas to give as little presents to your loved ones. . You can always tweak the recipes and make them your own, or to use whatever you have in your home. I love making these as much as I love using them. I think gifts from the heart are more special than store-bought gifts but that’s just me!

Can’t, I Have to Charge My Crystals

woolf-moon-rune-stone-bath-bombs

Yesterday December 13, 2016 there was not only the most beautiful full moon out but it was also the last full moon for 2016. The moon affects us in a lot of ways. Not only the tides but us as people too. I was having the shittiest day in the longest time. I just keep reminding myself I’m only one panic attack away from the holidays being over. With the full moon out I knew there was only one fix for my winter blues. So with no hesitation I put my crystals to charge under the moonlight, and began to draw up a bath.

This was no ordinary bath, since this was the last full moon I decided to bring out some special bath bombs with crystals in them. The seasonal wolf moon bath bomb smells like apples and pine trees and contains a  crystal. The rune stone bath bomb smells earthy and contains a stone that has a rune on it. Between the moon and my bath i was determined to get myself out of this funk. I dropped in the bath bombs and the rooms instantly smelled like christmas and apples. I opened the window so I could look up at the moon. I started to meditate as I gazed up at the moon. I also used the hex breaker scrub and did an in shower meditation “As I wash off this scrub I was off all negative vibes, and all negativity projected onto me, from this moment on only good will come.” After feeling like a prune from soaking and starting at the moon I grabbed my new crystals excited to find out what the meant and exited the bath.

The rune stone I got means fertility. Not exactly what i was hoping for, last time I got joy. Witches use runes in their practice as a form of divination, and to for tell the future. The crystal in the wolf moon bath bomb is a citrine crystal. Thank you so much to Marlaena at Witch Baby Soap for the kind words and the information! These crystals are known for personal power, and drawing in positivity. I did and do feel a lot better after meditating under the moon, charging my crystals, and taking that bath.
